1970’s kid’s cult classic Sky continues with new full-cast audio drama series

June 10, 2026 by Andrew Newton

Some of you may remember the 1975 ITV children’s TV series Sky, created by Doctor Who writers Bob Baker and Dave Martin, about a time-travelling alien stuck on Earth. After 50 years, Big Finish Productions released Sky: Before the Chaos in 2025, where the titular Sky returned to Earth and reunited with his friends. Now, Big Finish have released Sky: Into the Chaos, a brand-new full-cast audio drama following Sky and his friends as they do whatever they can to save the Earth.

This new box set features three episodes scripted by Gary Hopkins, these are:

The Confluence – With Arby and Jake lost in the Juganet, Bex and Kyle take Sky to meet an old friend. Meanwhile, Jane Briggs and her grief counsellor undergo many sessions to help her through Roy’s death, that is until the Juganet reunites them with the others in Jane’s future. However, everyone and everything isn’t quite what they seem.

The Place of Darkness – The Briggs family take another trip through the Juganet and are forced to face their past, but Arby and Cerys instead face a twisted future. Who is the Skygod, and why is it demanding tribune? There’s also the issue of what Kyle Brannock is wearing on his head.

This Far and No Further – The Calyx have nearly destroyed the Earth and despite his better judgement, Sky contacts his people to help. However, the Travellers have helped Earth before and are not particularly happy about giving the Earth another chance. Can Sky persuade them to help?

L to R: Caitlin Griffiths, Jessica Hayles, Samuel Morgan-Davies, Helen Bang, Katy Manning, Sarah Douglas, Conrad Westmaas, Edwin Flay, and Cloud Quinn.

This new adventure features the talents of Jessica Hayles as Bex Briggs, Samuel Morgan-Davies as Kyle Brannock, Conrad Westmaas as Jack Diver, Helen Bang as Jane Briggs, Caitlin Griffiths as Cerys Morgan, Marcus Hutton as Roy Briggs, Sarah Douglas as Dr Coral Grunwald, and Doctor Who legend Katy Manning as Joyce, Arby’s mum.

Sky: Into the Chaos is available to buy now as a download from the Big Finish website for £19.99.
