V/H/S director in line to direct Friday the 13th

April 15, 2014 by admin

We’ve not heard much from the Friday the 13th sequel/reboot since there were talks of not having Jason Voorhees as the main killer in the 13th installment of the iconic slasher series. While the movie isn’t out for another year, we may now have a director in the form of David Bruckner who could be heading to Camp Crystal Lake.

According to The Wrap, Bruckner, who wrote and directed the V/H/S segment Amateur Night, is in negotiations to direct the 2015 sequel. Bruckner also co-wrote and co-directed The Signal and he is currently working on the home invasion movie Intrusion.

If the rumours of a “found footage” Friday the 13th are to be true, Bruckner’s hiring would certainly make sense. Paramount have, at this point, not confirmed this story, nor will they confirm the plot details of the latest installment.

What would you like to see from Friday the 13th? Is David Bruckner a good choice?

Friday the 13th will be released on March 13th 2015.
