A new trailer has emerged from the depths for Whalefall, 20th Century Studios forthcoming race-against-time thriller in which Austin Abrams (Weapons) is swallowed alive by a giant sperm whale.
Directed by Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You), from a screenplay he co-wrote alongside the novel’s Pulitzer Prize winning author Daniel Kraus, Whalefall also features Josh Brolin (The Dog Stars), Elisabeth Shue (Cocktail), and John Ortiz (Nobody 2). Following the death of his father (Josh Brolin), Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) goes diving off the central Coast of California in search of his remains, but is swallowed by a massive sperm whale. While trapped inside its belly with only one hour of oxygen left, Jay comes to realize that the hard-earned lessons his father imparted may be the key to his escape.
Whalefall swims into theaters October 16th.
