In an unusual move for Netflix, they have announced The Hunting Wives has already been renewed for a third season ahead of its second’s premiere next month.
The decision is unusual because Netflix usually waits until after a season has premiered to decide if it will be renewed or cancelled and sometimes that wait can be months after. It is rare for Netflix to greenlight a new season so soon, only doing so for certain hits such as Stranger Things, The Night Agent and select others.
The Hunting Wives returns on November 26th with Brittany Snow and Malin Åkerman as the lead characters Sophie and Margot respectively. The series follows Sophie as she and her family move to an East Texas smalltown and she joins a group of the town’s socialite women who call themselves the Hunting Wives and begins a secret affair with Margot.
