Crackle orders TV series based upon Guy Ritchie’s Snatch

April 21, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that streaming service Crackle has ordered a ten-episode TV series based upon Guy Ritchie’s 2000 crime caper Snatch.

The site reports that the series will follow the blueprint laid out by FX’s Fargo series in that it will “carry the spirit” of the original movie, but following new characters.

The series will centre on “a group of twentysomething up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.”

Snatch was Guy Ritchie’s second feature film, and featured a cast that included Jason Statham, Brad Pitt, Benicio del Toro, Dennis Farina, Stephen Graham, Vinnie Jones and Lennie James.
