Michael Douglas and Halle Berry join Adrian Lyne’s Silence

May 13, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Adrian Lyne, director of such hits as Fatal Attraction and 9 1/2 Weeks, is returning behind the camera for the first time in fourteen years to helm Silence.

Lyne, whose last effort was 2002’s Unfaithful, is reuniting with his Fatal Activation star Michael Douglas for the new film, while Halle Berry (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Monster’s Ball) has also joined the cast.

Silence will be set in Chicago “during a snow-covered Christmas in the 1960s, when for John Carpenter, the holiday spirit is broken by violence throughout the city, and an unlikely stranger named Silence saves his life during a deadly riot. It leaves you questioning how far you would go to protect the ones you love.”

Lyne is also set to direct Silent Wife, another project soon to go into production with Nicole Kidman (The Family Fang) starring.
