As yet we don’t know for certain how The Hulk will factor into Thor: Ragnarok (although it’s been heavily rumoured that the film will incorporate elements of the Planet Hulk storyline), but during an interview with Collider actor Mark Ruffalo has spoken about his character’s arc in the film, teasing a resolution to the conflict between Bruce Banner and his angry alter-ego:
“I think the arc that he is ultimately making in his relationship with The Hulk and how that’s gonna resolve itself, that’s really where … nobody has gone to that place. He’s always been running from him or trying to deny it but they are coming for a collision course with each other and I think that could be pretty exciting if we can figure out a way, how to do it — multi-dimensionally.”

Thor: Ragnarok is being directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) and will star Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge. It is set for release on November 3rd, 2017.
