Michael Chernus to play The Tinkerer in Spider-Man: Homecoming

August 11, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Back in May it was rumoured that Tom Holland’s wall-crawler would be going up against both The Vulture and The Tinkerer in next year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The Vulture was confirmed at Comic-Con with some concept art (with Michael Keaton expected to be filling the role of Adrian Toomes), and now Deadline is reporting that Michael Chernus (Captain Phillips, Orange Is the New Black) has joined the cast of the film as Phineas Mason, better known as the engineering genius The Tinkerer.
