Olympus Has Fallen sequel heading to London

October 30, 2013 by admin

Millennium Films has announced that it has given the green light to London Has Fallen, a sequel to this year’s White House action thriller Olympus Has Fallen, which – as you can probably guess by the title – is set to shift the action to the UK capital.

According to Screen Daily, the sequel will tell “the story of a plot to strike the city during the funeral of the British Prime Minister. Only the President of the United States, his secret service head and an English MI6 agent can save the day.”

Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett and Radha Mitchell are all set to reprise their roles in the film which is expected to begin its shoot in London in May next year. The script for London Has Fallen will once again be written by Katrin Benedikt and Creighton Rothenberger while the search is currently on for a director to succeed Antoine Fuqua.
