Warner Bros. and Harry Potter producer looking to remake Attack on Titan

January 22, 2017 by Gary Collinson

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. is looking to secure the big screen rights to Hajime Isayama’s hit manga Attack on Titan, tapping Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them producer David Heyman to develop a U.S. remake of the recent two-part Japanese film.

Attack on Titan “follows humans living behind a wall through generations to keep themselves safe from the alien Titans. However, curious as to what is beyond the wall, they form a scouting mission. It is not long before they find themselves battling the Titans as they try to save humanity once again.”

Should a deal for Attack on Titan be reached, it would become the second manga adaptation in the works at Warner Bros. alongside Akira, which the studio has been trying to get off the ground since first acquiring the rights in 2002.
