Manu Bennett wants a Deathstroke spinoff show

June 1, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Actor Manu Bennett is campaigning for a Deathstroke spin off TV show.

One of the more popular characters from the CW/DC television series Arrow, is the villain Deathstroke, distinguished by his intimidating mask and combat expertise.

The character has recently returned to the series in the season five finale, much to fans’ delight, and now the actor behind the role is rallying support for a potential spinoff series.

Bennett even pointed fans of the idea in the direction of WB and DC Comics when responding to a tweet complimenting him for his performance.

Everybody who wants a #deathstrokeoriginalseries needs to rally @DCComics @WarnerBrosEnt @GBerlanti & @mguggenheim @netflix pic.twitter.com/R2FkeB7hRf

It’s interesting that Bennett also directed fans towards Netflix in his tweet, obviously a shrewd move given their success with recent superhero content.

The Netflix/Deathstroke team up on paper sounds like a great match but surely such a connection would be unlikely given the various politics involved. But hey, you don’t get what you don’t ask for.
