Better Call Saul renewed for season 4

June 27, 2017 by Ricky Church

Though Better Call Saul concluded its third season a couple weeks ago, AMC were yet to renew the series for a fourth season. However, creator and producer Vince Gilligan recently expressed his confidence the show would return and his confidence has now paid off. Today AMC officially renewed Better Call Saul for a 10-episode fourth season that will air in 2018.

“Supporting artists we respect and admire, delivering truly outstanding character development and nuanced dramatic twists and turns, continuing a legacy of bold creative choices, loving writing that is the best in the business: Truly, ‘S’all good, man,’” said Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios.

The Breaking Bad prequel follows the down-on-his-luck lawyer Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) as he transforms from the somewhat good-natured McGill into sleazy criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. Season 3 began introducing more elements from Breaking Bad, most notably Giancarlo Esposito’s drug kingpin Gus Fring, as the series edges closer to the Walter White era.
