Hugh Jackman compares Wolverine role to James Bond and Batman

July 11, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Retiring from the role of a beloved film character, especially a superhero, is a lot like a professional wrestler hanging up their boots; they may mean their words but the decision often doesn’t stick.

Nevertheless, Hugh Jackman seemingly appears committed to being done with portraying Wolverine after going out in style with Logan, arguably one of the best superhero films ever made.

With that said, it’s no surprise that Hugh Jackman sees the role as a highly coveted one, telling The Independent that: “Definitely someone else will play the role, it’s a great role. You know, it’s like a Bond or it’s like a Batman, those kinds of roles. Other people will play him for sure.”

Hugh Jackman will next be seen in theaters this Christmas for the biographical musical drama The Greatest Showman [watch the trailer here].
