Ric Roman Waugh to direct Gerard Butler in Angel Has Fallen

July 26, 2017 by Gary Collinson

It looks like the Millennium Films action threequel Angel Has Fallen has found its director, with Variety reporting that Ric Roman Waugh (Snitch, Shot Caller) has signed on to helm the film.

Angel Has Fallen is the follow-up to 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen and 2016’s London Has Fallen, and will see the return of Gerard Butler as Secret Service agent Mike Banning as he finds himself the target of terrorists during a flight on Air Force One. Morgan Freeman is also on board as Allan Trumbull, although Aaron Eckhart won’t be back as U.S. President Benjamin Asher for the third outing.

Ric Roman Waugh’s latest film Shot Caller was released in the States on July 20th through DirecTV Cinema, and will get a theatrical release on August 18th. Angel Has Fallen meanwhile it slated for release in 2018.
