Marvel’s Inhumans gets new character portraits, director wasn’t a fan of the first trailer

August 7, 2017 by Amie Cranswick

ABC has released a batch of character portraits for its upcoming Marvel series Inhumans featuring Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Ken Leung as Karnak, Sonya Balmores as Auran, Ellen Woglom as Louise, and Mike Moh as Triton; take a look below…

Meanwhile, in an interview with Metro, director Roel Reine has revealed like – that virtually everyone else on the planet – he wasn’t a fan of the first trailer for the new series:

“I was mixed about the first trailer as well. I felt like it didn’t give you the scope, it didn’t give you a lot of secrets or visual effects. I felt it was a little bit too early because the visual effects were not ready – Medusa’s hair was not ready. So I was really nervous about it and would think the fans would not really like it. The trailer was made by other people, so I was really nervous about it when I saw it. So I was like, ‘oh guys maybe we should hold off’, but it was too late because it was already in the open. The second trailer really got all the fans back on track and they really like it now and they really want to see it. I was really happy with that second trailer.”

Inhumans will premiere in IMAX theaters on September 1st, with a two-week run for the first two episodes, before the full eight episodes air on ABC from September 29th. Featuring in the cast of the series are Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Mike Moh as Triton, Sonya Balmores as Auran, Henry Ian Cusick as Dr. Evan Declan, Ellen Woglom as Louise and Chad James Buchanan as an as-yet-unrevealed character.
