Rumour: Beyonce wanted for Bond 25 theme song

August 30, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Now that Bond 25 has a release date and a 007 (with Daniel Craig having finally put an end to speculation over his future by confirming his return), the rumour mill can start to turn its attention to other aspects of the next chapter of the long-running spy series.

Wasting little time, The Daily Star has got in on the act by claiming that Beyonce is wanted for the theme song for Bond 25, and that the singer has been convinced to take the gig after speaking to Adele about her success with Skyfall.

“The two spoke before Bey’s first meeting with film bosses and Adele told her how co-writing and performing a Bond theme gave her an amazing career hike,” claims the Star’s ‘source’.

Fellow British tabloid The Daily Mirror has previously claimed that producer Barbara Broccoli was “determined” to have Adele return for a second theme. Take both reports with a healthy dose of salt…

Bond 25 is set for release in November 2019.
