Vince Vaughn in talks with HBO for True Detective season 2

August 5, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Last month it was revealed that Colin Farrell (Winter’s Tale) and Taylor Kitsch (John Carter) were in negotiations with HBO about joining the cast of True Detective, and now TV Line is reporting that Vince Vaughn (Delivery Man) has also started talks with a view to filling one of lead roles in the second season of the acclaimed show.

So far, very little is known about the plans for the second season of True Detective, although creator Nic Pizzolatto has said that it will be set in California, and will feature either three or four leads. Back in May, it was also rumoured that Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) had been offered a role, but it seems HBO will be waiting until it has secured its cast before an official announcement is made.
