If you were concerned that Harrison Ford’s injury could potentially delay the planned release of Star Wars: Episode VII in December of next year, then you’ll no doubt be delighted to hear that the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel is to resume filming later this month.
THR is reporting that production had been delayed for a fortnight owing to Ford’s broken leg, which he suffered during an on-set accident on the Millennium Falcon. However, Ford was out and about in Hollywood on Monday at the premiere of The Expendables 3, and is reportedly ready to resume work on the eagerly-anticpated first chapter of Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy.
Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18th 2015, with returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Max von Sydow (The Exorcist), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day) and newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen.
