Blumhouse open to another Paranormal Activity movie

October 16, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Despite the fact that 2015’s Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension was marketed as the final chapter in the hugely-successful found footage horror series, producer Jason Blum has revealed that Blumhouse is open to another instalment if and when writer Christopher B. Landon has an idea for a new movie.

“Paranormal Activity is on hiatus, but if Chris over here, who’s done four Paranormal Activity movies – if he has an idea to reboot it, we’re very open to hearing it,” Blum told Cinepop.

Landon penned four films in the series – Paranormal Activity 2, 3 and 4, as well as the spinoff Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones – and has reunited with Blumhouse for Happy Death Day, which just opened atop the U.S. box office. However, with Landon stating that he has plans for a sequel to that movie, it may well be some time before he turns his attention to another potential Paranormal Activity film.

Would you like to see another Paranormal Activity movie, or has the series well and truly run its course? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
