Lead a country in Government Simulator, coming to PC this December

October 24, 2017 by Andrew Newton

If you have ever looked at a country’s government and thought you could do better then you may well have a chance to prove it this December with Government Simulator from Austria based developer, Ambiera.  Using real world data players will be able to see if they can do a better job than Trump, Macron, Putin or Merkle.  Watch the video below for a taste of what to expect in government…

In Government Simulator players can choose to take control of one of several countries including USA, Germany, France, Russia or Austria and lead that country to success.  Using real world data to determine actions, players will need to achieve a set of goals such as decreasing the crime rate or achieving a certain public health although there is nothing to stop tinkering with various options and see what happens.  Everything within the country (Population, debt, GDP, economic growth, unemployment, crime, life expectancy, birth rate, mortality rate) has been simulated based on the data and players have the ability to adjust lots of factors such as budgets, taxes and laws just to see what the effects are.

Players can improve their publicity by performing PR stunts and media interviews and follow it up with decisions that send the country on a darker course.  Such decisions include censorship laws, compulsory military service and even the declaration of war.

Although only the 5 countries will be included at first it will be possible to download additional countries and scenarios.  It is also possible to create new countries and scenarios and share them with others.

Government Simulator will be available on Steam on the 4th December.
