ARPG Strain Tactics arrives on Android and iOS

November 4, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Touch Dimensions, developers of Autumn Dynasty and Wizards & Wagons, have announced that their ARPG/RTS hybrid, Strain Tactics, is now available for Android and iOS devices.  Players will assemble and lead a unit of crack troops against a hostile alien in a game that was well received when it arrived on PC in May.  Watch the trailer below…

In Strain Tactics a secret war has been waged on the surface of Neptune against an alien menace known as the Strain.  Unfortunately for humanity it didn’t go well and now the Strain is on its way to Earth.  As a recloned military commander players will lead a crack 5 man squad to destroy the aliens once and for all.

Players will issue commands from a bird’s-eye view of the battlefield and be able to insert or extract their units anywhere on the battle field.  Paths can be drawn for your units using a drag control system and special commands can be given for your men to execute as they follow the path.  Any orders given can be cancelled and troops can be redistributed or re-directed as needed.

There are 80 different troops to choose from and the more missions successfully completed will increase their experience and allow players to level up their damage, resistance or endurance……if they survive that is.  Those who die can be recovered in body bags or even sold for credits.  Players will also be able to choose from over 150 unique items and weapons to customise your troops so they can deal with any threat.

“We’re thrilled to bring Strain Tactics to Android and iOS,” says Jeffrey Jiang, co-founder at Touch Dimensions. “We envisioned the game with mobile in mind, so it works beautifully on touchscreens. Our mobile fans are in for a treat!”

“Releasing first on Steam provided us with incredible feedback,” adds Kai Lim, creative director at Touch Dimensions. “Our PC users were relentless. Their love for the game and super-human dedication helped us make the mobile version of Strain Tactics meet – and sometimes even surpass – the original Steam release.”

Strain Tactics is available now on the App Store and Google Play.
