Colton Haynes to return to Arrow for short arc

December 13, 2017 by Ricky Church

When Arrow returns in January, it will also feature a returning face to the series. The CW has announced that Colton Haynes will reprise his role as Roy Harper/Arsenal for a brief time in the show’s sixth season.

Haynes had a recurring role in Arrow‘s first season before being upgraded to a regular in the second and third. He left the show, though, after his contract was up in the third season and Roy faked his death. He briefly appeared as a guest in the fourth season, but has not been seen in any of the CW/DC shows since.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year,” executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle said. “Roy is called back to Star City to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences.”

Arrow returns on January 18.
