John Boyega responds to Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s divisive fan reaction

December 28, 2017 by Samuel Brace

One of the stars of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, John Boyega, has responded to the film’s divisive fan reaction.

Fans were expecting the world from The Last Jedi when it hit theatres earlier in December, or at least something a little more familiar to what they’ve been used to with the franchise, but what they received was something quite different and the reactions have been largely mixed.

While some love the film, others are not at all happy and have not been shy about venting their frustrations at the film’s director Rian Johnson. Luke Skywalker himself has even offered his thoughts.

Boyega, who plays Finn in the movie, has also weighed in, taking to social media to post his thoughts on the subject, essentially saying that you can’t please everyone and that fans need to understand there are people with different likes and dislikes.

Whether or not the words of Hamill and now Boyega will calm fan disappointment will remain to be seen and it will certainly be interesting to see how opinion of the film changes over time.
