THR is reporting that Riverdale actor Cole Sprouse, who plays the character of Jughead Jones, is set to headline the romantic drama Five Feet Apart, which is being directed by Jane the Virgin star Justin Baldoni for CBS Films.
According to the site, the film follows “two young people who meet and fall in love while being treated for their illnesses, knowing that they are both living on borrowed time” and is described as “being uplifting and about the people who help make every moment count as well as the transcendent power of love.”

Five Feet Apart has been penned by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis, and will be produced by Baldoni and Cathy Schulman (Crash). Filming is slated to get underway in the spring.
