Jeremy Renner seemingly confirms Hawkeye for Captain America 3

September 24, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Having been absent from Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye will soon make his return to the MCU as he links up with the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for May’s hotly-anticipated sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Speaking to MTV, Renner has revealed that he has no burning desire for a solo movie as Hawkeye, and appears to confirm that we will be seeing the archer again in 2016 as part of Captain America 3.

“I’m happy to do the ensemble”, says Renner. “I’m not scratching or clawing for a solo mvoie by any means. I think [Hawkeye] is a utility guy that can bounce around into other people’s universes a little bit, especially like Cap 3.”

Are you excited for Hawkeye’s return in Age of Ultron, and the prospect of seeing him alongside the likes of Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) in Captain America 3?
