Nightwing director reaffirms his commitment to the Dick Grayson solo movie

February 25, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Almost a year ago to the day, it was announced that The LEGO Batman helmer Chris McKay would be bringing Dick Grayson to the DC Extended Universe with a live-action Nightwing movie.

McKay has provided fans with regular social media updates about his plans for the former Boy Wonder, but the movie was one of several DCEU titles absent from Warner Bros.’ subsequent DC movie slate announcements, and with the filmmaker signing on last week to direct a new Dungeons & Dragons movie, questions have been raised about the status of the Nightwing movie.

Well, McKay has now moved to reassure fans that he remains committed to the project, with the directing sharing the following update on Twitter:

Now, that’s not exactly confirmation that the movie is definitely happening, and given that McKay will soon be tied up with Dungeons & Dragons, it certainly doesn’t sound like we’ll get to see a Nightwing film any time soon. Unless of course those “creative differences” rear their head once again…
