As Warner Bros. and DC Films continue to plot out their post-Justice League plans in the wake of the disappointing box office returns for the superhero ensemble, stars Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller have been chatting to Screen Geek about their experience on the movie, and in particular the directorial shake-up which saw Joss Whedon coming in as a replacement for Zack Snyder.
“With two directors, we had a bit of a tough time with Zack having to step away from the project, and I think we all owe him a great bit of gratitude for bringing us into his version of the Justice League.” said Fisher. “At the end of the day, the best way to honor him in that sort of way is to do what you have to do and put your best foot forward no matter who is at the helm. That’s a challenge I think anyone would have faced – building a rapport with one person and then having to switch gears all of a sudden.”
“I feel like we were ultimately, all things considered, immensely fortunate to work with Zack and to work with Joss,” added Miller. “We got to work with with the two most incredible [directors] of this game. I feel blessed to have had that experience and deeply grateful.”

Snyder of course made the decision to walk away from Justice League following the untimely passing of his daughter, with Whedon then coming in to write and oversee additional photography, as well as completing production. However, rumours have emerged recently claiming that Warner Bros. and Snyder had already parted ways months earlier due to an “unwatchable” rough cut of the movie. Nevertheless, Snyder fans continue to hold out hope for a Director’s Cut of the movie, although there appears to be no plans for an alternate version at present.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
