Earlier this week it was reported that Marvel’s planned Deadpool animated series from Donald Glover has been scrapped by FX, leaving fans wondering what might have been.
Some reports had suggested that Glover’s schedule could have been to blame for the project being dropped, but the Spider-Man: Homecoming actor has taken to social media to dismiss these accusations:
for the record: i wasnt too busy to work on deadpool.

Alongside this, Glover also shared a “script” for the series which takes a few jabs at Marvel and sees the Merc with a Mouth speculating as to why the show was cancelled:

Why FX decided to pull the plug on the series remains a mystery then, but perhaps we’ll see Marvel resurrecting the project at a different network. If this is to happen, then we can only hope that the highly sought after Donald Glover is still attached to provide some of his trademark wit and charm.
