Eric Bana and Connie Britton to star in Dirty John

April 4, 2018 by Ricky Church

Eric Bana (The Finest Hours) and Connie Britton (Nashville) are set to star alongside each other in the first season of Bravo Media’s Dirty John. The TV anthology series is based on articles and the true crime podcast of the same name from Christopher Goffard, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times.

Bana will star as John Meehan, a handsome and romantic charmer who sweeps Debra Newell (Britton) off her feet and pulls her into his web of lies. The series chronicles the true story of how a romance with Meehan spiralled into secrets, denial, and manipulation.

Dirty John is produced by Universal Cable Productions in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment. Alexandra Cunningham (Desperate Housewives) will executive produce the series with Britton and Bana alongside Richard Suckle and Charles Roven for Atlas Entertainment as well as Mark Herzog, Christopher G. Cowen, and Chris Argentieri for Los Angeles Times Studios.
