With The Walking Dead having just started its midseason break until February, attention is now turning to the upcoming companion series, which is going by the working title of ‘Cobalt’.
According to Deadline, Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm) have signed on for the pilot, which is being directed by Adam Davidson.
The site reports that the series will revolve around a male divorced teacher and a female guidance counsellor, with Dillane playing the woman’s son and Debnam Carey playing her daughter.
‘Cobalt’ will take place during the same zombie apocalypse as The Walking Dead, albeit in an entirely different location. It has been created by Robert Kirkman, along with Dave Erickson.
