Rebel Wilson has met with Paul Feig about Ghostbusters reboot

December 11, 2014 by Luke Owen

Things have been quiet on the Paul Feig directed Ghosbusters reboot since it was announced back in October, but there was always casting speculation of how would be involved. The usual names from the Feig stable like Kristin Wiig (Bridesmaids), Melissa McCarthy (St. Vincent), Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Linda Cardellini (Scooby Doo) were banded around – as well as Rebel Wilson (Pain and Gain).

Well as it seems as though those guesses weren’t far off the mark as Rebel Wilson told Today that she has had meetings about the reboot.

“I have had a meeting,” Wilson revealed. “But who knows? They will have to look at the script when it’s finished… I’d do that for free. I probably shouldn’t say that live on TV.”

Rebel Wilson will next be on the big screen in Night of the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb and will be reprising her role of Fat Amy in next year’s Pitch Perfect 2.

Ghostbusters will be directed by Paul Feig, who already has his cast in mind, and is currently being written by Katie Dippold (The Heat).
