Alexander Skarsgard and Liam Hemsworth reportedly wanted for Steve Trevor role in Wonder Woman

April 17, 2015 by Gary Collinson

A few weeks back Latino-Review reported that Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride) would be playing Wonder Woman love-interest Steve Trevor in next year’s DC supervillain ensemble Suicide Squad, only for Variety to debunk the story earlier this week when it reported that four actors are set to test for the role in the Amazon Princess’ 2017 solo movie.

Well, if The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider is to be believed, we may know two of the candidates for the part, with Sneider claiming on Meet the Movie Press (via CBM) that Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) and Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) are wanted for the role alongside Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. Sneider went on to state that Eastwood actually passed on the role of Steve Trevor, instead opting to appear in his as-yet-unrevealed role in Suicide Squad.

Earlier this week, Wonder Woman had a change of director, with Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones) leaving the project over creative differences, and Patty Jenkins (Monster) signing on as her replacement.
