A new Doctor Who adventure brings Bad Terms for Colin Baker’s Sixth Doctor

August 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The Sixth Doctor Adventures: Bad Terms, a brand new full-cast audio drama for the Sixth Doctor, has been released today from Big Finish Productions. Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant reprise their roles as the Doctor and companion Peri Brown in a swashbuckling adventure with an Irish pirate queen, and uncover a mysterious alien scheme in a public school.

The first of the two 90-minute adventures is Saiorse of the Seven Seas by Nina Millns. When the TARDIS arrives in the 18th century, the pair of time travellers meet Irish pirate queen Saoirse O’Grady. This pirate queen wants justice for her people and homeland, and she thinks the brave Captain Peri (and her lowly second-in-command, the Doctor) are just the people to help her fight her English foe, Sir Kenneth Rushworth, a man with more than the law on his side.

Rebecca O’Mara (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice) plays Saoirse, Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood’s Ianto Jones) plays Sir Rushwood, Barnaby Edwards as Xeneroth, Amanda Shodeko as Adria, Laurie Kynaston as Smirton, Tom Haywood as His Utmost Eminence, and Ayesha Antoine as the Lookout/Pirate.

Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant are as happy as me for a new Sixth Doctor adventure.

The second story, Red for Danger! by Nev Fountain sees the Doctor and Peri take the roles of teachers, Dr Pretorius (History) and Professor Brown (Biology), in an English public school. With plenty of aliens among both pupils and faculty, the pair set out to solve the mystery of Malcolm – a boy with a strange, and very close, connection to the Doctor.

Joining Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant in this adventure are – Charlie Hamblett as Malcolm Travers, Andre James as Reggie Biggs, Akshay Khanna as Darius Strangerman, Jason Forbes as Forbes Minor, David Holt as The Headmaster/Andigor Birch, and Martin Kor as Doctor Drylake.

The Sixth Doctor Adventures: Bad Terms is available to purchase now for £19.99 as a download and £24.99 for the download and limited Collector’s Edition CD box set.
