Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp coming to mobile devices in November

October 25, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Nintendo have announced the first Animal Crossing game for iOS and Android devices which is set to arrive next month.  Titled Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp players will build up and manage their very own campsite.  Watch the trailer below for more details on the debut of the franchise onto mobile…

Animal crossing fans will be in their element as they manage their own campsite and decorate it with a large variety of buildings and furniture.  Items for the campsite can be crafted through the gathering of materials which can be gained by helping other animal inhabitants who are scattered around the many areas to explore including an island, a beach and a forest.  Once items have been gathered players can put in an order with Cyrus the alpaca to build the desired piece of furniture or amenity.  If you don’t fancy taking the time to gather materials there is always the option of microtransactions to purchase ‘Leaf Tickets’.  These can be used to buy materials and speed up crafting time but although handy to have aren’t essential to gameplay.

The game will play in real time and will have a morning, afternoon and evening and each time of the day will attract different animal friends to your campsite and will all have their own preference of furniture.  This will also help increase player’s friendship levels with each animal.

As well as gathering materials for crafting players can also indulge in a bit of fishing (although fish can also be used in trades for crafting resources).  Fishing can be carried out with a rod or if you prefer to catch more in a shorter space of time then there is a net available to use.

For furniture items that are a bit too tricky for Cyrus to craft, players are able to go shopping at the Nookling Global shop run by Timmy and Tommy Nook.  Other shops include Able Sisters to Go for clothing and Kicks, the shoe store.

Players will be given a camper van that can be customised on the inside and out.  Furniture and items can be purchased from the Nookling Global Shop for customising the inside however, for the outside you will need to see Giovanni, Beppe and Carlo at OK Motors.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will include a multiplayer feature that lets players exchange ID numbers in order to visit each others campsites or trade some items.

Look out for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp coming to mobile devices this November.
