Annabelle Wallis, George Young and Jake Abel board James Wan’s new horror

August 26, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

After revealing earlier this month that he’ll be directing a new horror feature prior to heading back into the ocean for Aquaman 2, James Wan has kicked off casting for the as-yet-untitled film by signing up Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle, Peaky Blinders), George Young (Grace, Containment) and Jake Abel (Supernatural).

Plot details on the movie – which Variety states is tentatively titled Silvercup – are being kept under wraps, but Wan has developed the story with Ingrid Bisu, an actress who has appeared in The Conjuring spinoff The Nun.

As yet, there’s no word on a timeframe for the film, but Wan does have Aquaman 2 set for December 2022, while he’s also attached to direct a pilot for a TV adaptation of Mark Millar’s The Magic Order.
