July 20, 2021 by Ricky Church

Zack Snyder has revealed more news for Army of Thieves, the prequel to his Netflix zombie film Army of the Dead. Snyder showed off the film’s poster and announced news for its San Diego Comic-Con@Home panel this weekend. Check it out below…

Army of Thieves will follow Dieter, the team’s safe cracker in Army of the Dead, before he worked with criminals and got involved in elaborate heists. Mattias Schweighöfer is reprising his role as Dieter as well as taking the seat in the director’s chair as Snyder serves as producer.

The film’s panel for the virtual San Diego Comic-Con will place on Sunday, July 25 at 2 PM pacific time.

In this prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, small-town bank teller Dieter gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, attempting to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.

Army of Thieves is directed by Matthias Schweighöfer, with a script from Shay Hatten and a story by Hatten & Zack Snyder. The film stars Matthias Schweighöfer, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Guz Khan, Jonathan Cohen, Noémie Nakai.

Army of Thieves is set for release on Netflix in Fall 2021.
