Lionsgate and Saban Entertainment have round out their Mighty Morphin’ team for the Power Rangers reboot, revealing that Becky Gomez – a.k.a. singer Becky G – has joined the cast of the film as the Yellow Ranger.
Gomez joins the previously announced Dacre Montogomery (Betrand The Terrible) as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott (The Martian) as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin (Marco Polo) as the Black Ranger and RJ Cyler (Me And Earl And The Dying Girl) as the Blue Ranger.
Meanwhile, following a rumour earlier this week suggesting that the new movie would be changing the names of the characters from the original series, Saban has confirmed via Twitter that the Dean Israelite-helmed reboot will be sticking with Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Billy and Trini for the film.
Power Rangers is set for release on January 13th 2017.
