CBS orders dark fairy tale thriller series Tell Me a Story from Kevin Williamson

December 3, 2017 by Gary Collinson

CBS is adding to its original programming for its digital streaming service CBS All Access, with the network ordering the psychological thriller Tell Me a Story from writer Kevin Williamson (Scream, The Vampire Diaries), who will executive produce with Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor.

Based on a Spanish TV series airing on Antena tres, the series takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. The first season is set to tackle The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and the Beanstalk, presenting a tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder in modern-day New York.

Tell Me a Story joins CBS All Access’ growing roster of original series, which includes Star Trek: Discovery, The Good Fight and No Activity. Upcoming shows include $1, Strange Angel, and The Twilight Zone.
