Children of the Worm DLC coming to Back 4 Blood this month

August 4, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios have revealed details of the next major DLC for Back 4 Blood.  The Children of the Worm DLC, set for release on 30th August, follows the previously released Tunnels of Terror DLC and features a brand new story campaign that pits players against a brand new threat.  Children of the Worm will be available as part of the Annual Pass, Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition as well as a standalone purchase.

In the Children of the Worm DLC players will face a fierce new enemy threat, one that is so terrifying that the developers felt it vital they introduce the new playable character, ‘Prophet’ Dan, to help despatch the fearful foe.  ‘Prophet’ Dan is a gun toting, self-proclaimed preacher of the end times who is joining the list of Cleaners in an effort to save humanity.

Also included in the DLC are eight exclusive character skins to make your Cleaners look awesome, as well as 12 exclusive weapon skins to brighten up your equipment before they get coated in the blood of the dead.  Players will also get access to new weapons, such as the Lockjaw and the Bear Trap, accessories and cards.

Back 4 Blood is a first-person co-op zombie shooter that takes place in a world where most of humanity has either been killed or infected by the parasitic Devil Worm.  Humanity’s last of hope of survival rests upon the shoulders of a group of apocalypse veterans called the Cleaners who have rallied together to take on the infected horrors known as the Ridden.

Look out for the Children of the Worm DLC arriving for Back 4 Blood on 30th August.
