Child’s Play creator Don Mancini has taken to Twitter to announce that the upcoming Chucky TV series has officially wrapped filming. Chucky, which serves as a sequel to Cult of Chucky, will consist of eight episodes with the pilot episode set to premiere on October 12th on both Syfy and USA Network.

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
Chucky will continue the continuity of the Child’s Play movie franchise from creator Don Mancini. Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif are reprising their roles as Chucky, Tiffany and Nica Pierce respectively. Newcomers to the franchise include Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Bjorgvin Arnarson and Alyvia Alyn Lind as the young leads with Devon Sawa, Lexa Doig and Barbara Alyn Woods.
