Cody Rhodes circling a cameo in The Naked Gun reboot

April 23, 2024 by EJ Moreno

After becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes joins Roman Reigns and Dwayne Johnson in the Hollywood adventures.

According to The Daily Mail, Rhodes is rumored to have a “significant cameo” in a remake of the 1988 comedy classic The Naked Gun. He’ll join leading man Liam Neeson alongside Pamela Anderson, who was recently attached to the film.

“To make things a little easier for himself, he might actually end up playing himself in the film,” a source told The Daily Mail. “It may be a cameo, but his role is important and lends itself to the full story of the film.”

The source adds, ‘Cody has had experience in front of a camera besides the WWE by working on Arrow and a few other shows. But this will be a huge movie, and Cody is super excited to film his part and make it something that’s both fun for him and funny for everyone that sees it.’

While not confirmed, Rhodes could play someone under a hypnotic spell in the film, something that happened to numerous characters in The Naked Gun movies.

Akiva Schaffer is set to direct the film, which is due out in July 2025.
