Critical Mode arrives for Kingdom Hearts III

April 24, 2019 by Andrew Newton

A brand new update arrives today for the critically acclaimed Kingdom Hearts III and brings with it the new Critical Mode providing players with a much more challenging difficulty level for Sora and friends to embark on.

With the Critical Mode players can expect to battle more formidable foes, however, more difficult enemies isn’t the only challenging new feature.  Players embarking on a new adventure will find that the maximum HP and MP have been halved and that the frequency of situation commands and magic is lowered.  It’s not all bad news though as those brave enough to tackle this new difficulty will find that Sora can perform new abilities that are exclusive to this mode.  As well as this, players have the option to carry over their Keyblades to a new game.  The Keyblade carried over will go back to its default strength but it will mean that players can utilise Keyblades that are normally obtained later in the game.

Take Sora on a more challenging adventure with the new Critical Mode update.

Fans and critics have fallen in love with KINGDOM HEARTS III! With over 5 million copies sold, this has become the fastest selling KINGDOM HEARTS yet. Join Sora’s journey that spans across Disney and Pixar worlds, and experience the excitement and power of KINGDOM HEARTS!
