Deborah Ann Woll wants to explore Karen Page’s past in Daredevil season 3

December 28, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Daredevil season 3 is on the way and Deborah Ann Woll would like to explore Karen’s past during the new batch of episodes of the Marvel series

Season 2 of the show wasn’t quite as lauded as its debut outing but Netflix’s Daredevil is still considered to be the platform’s premium Marvel offering and fans are starting to look forward to the show’s third season when it arrives next year.

Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Karen on the show, has revealed to Collider her hopes for the new season, telling them what she would like to explore with her character:

“Definitely her past.” Woll said. “We’ve been hinting at it, and I hope that we eventually unwrap that candy. That’s cool to me.”

Woll also wants to further pursue aspects of her character that often get Karen and others into trouble:

“Really, my favorite thing to work on with the character is that doggedness and pushiness.” Woll explained. “Karen is pushy, and I like that. I like it in a female character because I think it’s a quality that we historically have disliked in women. I think it can be a strength, as well as a weakness. It can be one of those wonderful, complex aspects of her. She won’t let things go, even if it gets her hurt, or if it gets someone else hurt. She’s out there, she’s gonna get the truth, and she can’t stop thinking about it or let it go, and she never will. That’s a really fun part of her personality to play with.”
