Devolver Digital reveals new games at the Nintendo Nindies Showcase

March 20, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Devolver Digital has revealed details on two new games coming to the Switch at the Nintendo ‘Nindies Showcase’ at this year’s annual Game Developers Conference.  Get ready for slashing and shooting action coming to the Nintendo Switch in the coming months.

Arriving on 18th April alongside the PC release is Katana ZERO from developer Akiisoft.  This stylish neo-noir, action platformer will see players slash and dash their way around each level, killing enemies, dodging attacks and deflecting bullets, as well as manipulating time to get past enemies, traps and explosives.  The objective is simple, Leave no survivors.

Each level of the game has been uniquely designed to provide countless different ways to complete them and there’s plenty of variety in how to kill the enemy.

Katana ZERO is available to pre-order now on the Nintendo eShop.

Coming this June to both Nintendo Switch and PC is the shoot ’em up puzzler, My Friend Pedro. In this title from developer Deadtoast, players will follow the orders of a sentient banana and battle through the violent underworld killing anyone in their path.  Players will have an incredible level of control over both their weapons and their body and be able to use split aiming, slow motion and twist in the air to shoot enemies while performing the traditional movie window breach.  Create the most over the top sequence then use the game’s automated gif generator to easily share clips over social media.

My Friend Pedro will provide a sensational ‘gun ballet’ this June.

Nintendo Switch gamers are set for a few months of full throttle action courtesy of Devolver Digital.
