The Doom Patrol to appear in DC’s Titans TV series

February 11, 2018 by Gary Collinson

We’ve known for a while that DC’s upcoming live-action Teen Titans series Titans is set to feature other DC characters such as Hawk and Dove [check them out in costume here], and it seems we can now add another superhero team to the show’s roster, with Geoff Johns sharing the following script page to Twitter and revealing that the fifth episode will be titled ‘Doom Patrol’.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Doom Patrol, they are a team of misfit superheroes, dubbed the ‘World’s Strangest Heroes’. The original line-up debuted in 1963 and consisted of The Chief, Robotman, Elasti-Girl and Negative Man, and the title has released been relaunched as part of Gerard Way’s Young Animal comic book imprint.

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, TITANS is an all-new live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. TITANS is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans is set to air as part of the upcoming DC streaming service. As yet, there’s no word on a premiere date.
