Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll in talks for Daredevil: Born Again return

January 13, 2024 by EJ Moreno

The old Daredevil crew is coming back together, with some Netflix originals joining Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock.

Following on from the official “canonisation” of the Netflix Marvel shows into the MCU (with them now appearing as part of the official MCU timeline on Disney+), Jeff Sneider reports that Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson will reprise the roles of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson from the original show for the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.

In the latest InSneider, the reporter broke the news that Marvel Studios is set to have the pair return after their rocky treatment during the latest Daredevil: Born Again regime.

If you don’t recall, the upcoming Disney+ series is undergoing a total creative overhaul, with the showrunners and all the directors being fired, and the filmed episodes were scrapped. The Daredevil: Born Again title took on new life when Marvel rebooted what was happening, reportedly including shocking moves.

Some reports had Foggy getting killed in the first version of the series, which caused Matt Murdock to quit being Daredevil for a year. This version was reportedly an eighteen-episode season and more of a legal procedural. Part of Sneider’s report notes that the original part of the story is nixed, and the characters will continue in the MCU.

Dario Scardapane is the new showrunner, while Marvel Studios regulars Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are now stepping in as the directors.

Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin), and Jon Bernthal (Punisher) will reprise their roles in the series, which was slated for 2024 but currently has no release date set.
