Endzone 2 update focusses on radiation dangers and health

April 30, 2025 by Andrew Newton

With the launch of the eagerly anticipated Endzone 2 mere months away, Gentlymad Studios and Assemble Entertainment have released a brand-new update that deals with the dangers that players will face as they explore this post-apocalyptic wasteland. A new video can be seen below showcasing the dangers and highlighting the progression.

This latest update has drawn inspiration from the original game Endzone – A World Apart by focusing on radiation management, settler health and making meaningful survival decisions.

As in the original game, radiation is prevalent in the world and this can have an adverse effect on settler’s health. With the new update, strategic placement of buildings as well as the new decontamination tools, the Decontaminator and Water-tower, are essential for survival.

A world stricken by disaster is bound to see diseases plague settlements and now outbreaks directly impact settlers, those affected by an outbreak can recover naturally or through medical care such as hospitals built by the player. Settler health is not just restricted to physical health but also by mental health, in this case morale. Morale can be boosted with the construction of buildings like the Bar and Coffee Shop and by consumption of craft beer and weed.

The storms of a post-apocalyptic world can be harsh and these will now damage buildings when they occur. Players will need to ensure there are repair crews and manage their resources efficiently to keep the settlement running effectively.

New session objectives have also arrived with the update and players can take on epic challenges in order to earn powerful monument buildings that will be able to supercharge the player’s late-game strategy.

Head on over to Steam now and try Endzone 2 for yourself.
