Forgotton Anne now available for the Nintendo Switch

November 10, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Square Enix Collective has announced the release of their cinematic platforming adventure Forgotton Anne on the Nintendo Switch.  Unlike the game’s previous release on other platforms, the Switch edition will allow players to enjoy this animated adventure on the go.

In Forgotton Anne, players are taken to the Forgotten Lands to follow the story of Anne, an enforcer who keeps order in the land.  As Anne, players will need to squash a rebellion that might prevent her master, Bonku, and herself from returning to the human world.  Anne will not face these puzzles alone as she will receive help from the Forgotlings (creatures formed out of all of these missing items).

“I think it’s safe to say a Nintendo Switch version of Forgotton Anne has been in our minds ever since we encountered ThroughLine Games’ amazing creation,” says Phil Elliott, Director of Indie Publishing at Square Enix. “We’re really excited to bring this outstanding ode to all things anime to an audience we think will really appreciate it. It really is one of the most stunning games we’ve ever put out.”

“It’s no secret that we want as many people to experience Anne’s story as possible, but this Nintendo Switch version has a special place in our hearts,” says Alfred Nguyen, Creative Director and Co-founder of ThroughLine Games. “Nintendo and anime are such logical bedfellows, we think bringing Forgotton Anne to Nintendo Switch is possibly one of the easiest decisions we’re ever likely to make in our careers.”

Forgotton Anne is available now on the Nintendo eStore priced £15.99/$19.99/€19.99, order before 16th November for a 10% discount.
