Futurama season 13 first-look images released ahead of September premiere

July 22, 2025 by Ricky Church

As a shiny metal robot often says, “We’re back, baby!” Prepare to travel back to the 30th century in September as Hulu has announced the premiere date for the thirteenth season of the beloved comedy Futurama with a batch of first look images of the upcoming season.

Futurama follows the adventures of Philip J. Fry and the crew of the Planet Express after Fry was accidentally frozen for 1000 years to wake up in the year 3000. The series was created by The Simpsons‘ Matt Groening in 1999 and has been a fan-favourite for over 25 years, returning to TV after several previous cancellations/endings.

The latest revival began in 2023 when the series moved from Comedy Central to Hulu and an uproar from fans after the initial news John DiMaggio, the voice of Bender and several other characters, would not return to the series. Thankfully a deal was reached where he reprised his iconic character alongside other original members of the cast.

Bender is rampaging out of control! A volcano is about to explode! Fry confronts a rival for Leela’s love! And Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven?! The excitement might be too much!”

Futurama features the voices of John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar and David Herman.

Futurama will premiere on Hulu on September 15th, but in a change of past seasons the streamer will drop all 10 episodes of Season 13 at once instead of its traditional weekly schedule.
