Game of Thrones: Kingsroad trailer showcases fighter classes

March 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Ahead of the launch of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad on PC and mobile devices later this year, Netmarble has released a new video showcasing the three classes of fighters that players will be able to fight as.  Watch this new video below to see the game’s fighter classes that have been inspired by iconic roles from Game of Thrones series.

The upcoming Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will allow players to choose between the Knight, Sellsword and Assassin character classes.  Each of these classes have been given their own unique combat mechanics and skills, allowing players to engage in strategic combat that align with their preferred style.

These classes are:

  • The Knight – Following the style of a Westerosi knight, this class uses a longsword and skilled swordsmanship to kill their enemies.
  • The Sellsword – Inspired by the Wildlings and Dothraki, the Sellsword has a brutal fighting style using two-handed axes to overpower their foes.
  • The Assassin – Just like the Faceless Men, Assassins use agility and precision with daggers to get in close to their opponents and dispatch them swiftly.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will feature a brand-new story that takes place during the fourth season of the Game of Thrones TV series.  Taking the role of the heir to the small northern noble family of House Tyre, players will need to ensure their legacy as the head of their House.  Becoming involved in the wider issues affecting Westeros, such as the Lannisters clinging to the Iron Throne while Stannis Baratheon gathers his forces, as well as the troubles looming beyond the Wall, will be unavoidable. It will be vital for players to master the combat skills of their chosen class if they are to gain success and rewards.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad arrives on PC via Steam or Windows Launcher, as well as on iOS and Android devices later this year.
